  1. Okay - this is better, but you appear to be dedicated a lot of space to a single example in Chapter 2 - i.e. universities and safe spaces - but I suspect this would be a paragraph or two illustrating a point, as opposed to being a discrete topic in its own right. In terms of Chapter 1, you'll want to look at Judith Butler too - another poststructuralist - and her ideas on Gender and feminist critique. I also think you need to look at the ideas of Michel Foucault and likewise postcolonialism - all these ideas mesh together to create the forum in which all existing ideas about power and society can be shaken and challenged - and this is where the debate comes from. Remember too - your chapters, while doing specific jobs, should not be considered as separate chunks - the ideas you encounter in Chapter 1 should be used proactively during the course of the dissertation - like a practical toolkit. Mike - there is some serious reading & thinking required of you now and partly your structure tells me that you need to start in order to start understanding more about what you don't know about this subject yet. Time to commit to some hardcore research!
